Dave W and Leroy stayed on the estate for their trip early July and one would have expected sea trout to feature, unfortunately they were reluctant and oddly some rather large salmon were seen about possibly scaring off their smaller relatives ?
After a pretty solid flog of the waters early and sometimes late luck was a lady called a 15lb salmon which Leroy did battle and won!

Pump Action
In the second week of July Patrick G and his friends prepared early for their July trip with various flies tied specifically to target sea trout and grilse. The river had a bit of extra water and there seemed to be decent numbers running albeit in the hours of darkness. A salmon was had on Grey Court 6-7lb (thanks to Phil) Patrick being the lucky captor. As the two first days moved happily along fish were hooked lost and landed in Patrick’s own words “Thanks John had another lovely fish last night and another two this morning” for their trip 4 sea trout at Farnley sadly no salmon. See you next year hopefully !

Another stunning fish for Patrick
